music landscape

by Melanie Krauth

I visualised data from the chorus of four songs out of the top 100 of the last ten years according to Rolling Stone magazine.

The  visualisation represents the amplitude of the four bands for low  (0-150), mid(151-2000), high(2001-10.000) and frequencies above10khz.

These are mapped to shapes to form a landscape that visualises the dynamics of the songs over time.
