Hannah Davis
Generative musician & researcher
Hannah Davis is a generative musician and researcher based in NYC. Her work generally falls along the lines of music generation, composing, machine learning, and natural language processing. She is interested in pretty much everything, but her current passions include music, possible futures, weird/’subjective’ datasets, ethics in AI, ideas along the lines of empathy/identity, and microbiomes.
Hannah is a former scholar at OpenAI and professor of generative music at NYU’s ITP program. She's the creator of the ongoing project TransProse, a text-to-music generation program, and more recently have been starting to create interesting datasets for art and machine learning. An album made with machine learning techniques is forthcoming in summer 2019 – in progress at https://soundcloud.com/ahandvanish.
