Community Conversation & Class Pitch Sign-Up
Hello and thank you for your interest in joining us for this experiment!
This is a sign-up for those of you interested in submitting a pitch to teach a future course at School of Machines, Making & Make-Believe, and, also, it is for those of you who are not interested in doing so. To be clear, this will NOT BE an event to share your pitches with others, but rather, an opportunity to meet new people, to discuss how you see the world and how they do; in essence, a chance to connect!
While we love art, design, and technology in all their shiny and messy forms, we feel strongly that the most important aspect of our work involves the humans in the room.
The goal with this experiment is to come together to converse, to be who we are, to laugh and to cry (lol), and in so doing, to make it clear for each other, why it is we matter more!
We hope in the end the pitches we receive might then reflect these experiences in some way. Again, just to reiterate, you do not need to have a plan to submit a class proposal to attend. However, please note, we will only be accepting pitches from those who do attend.
Each session will last approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. There will be a short introduction followed by a prompt and series of breakout room conversations, with short check-ins in-between and after.
